Capella's Lajitas and Nevada gold-copper properties are located in the Maricunga Gold-Copper District of northern Chile. The Maricunga Gold Belt hosts world-renown deposits such as Marte-Lobo, Refugio, La Coipa, Cerro Cassale, El Hueso / ADLF / Jeronimo, La Pepa, and Volcan with combined gold resources in the order of 43 million ounces. Capella's properties neighbour these established resources.
Capella has a significant land position in the Maritime Provinces of Canada holding mineral exploration claims covering an aggregate land area of over 450,000 hectares. After completing an extensive exploration campaign in 2007/2008, Capella is in planning stages to drill test several of their more than 50 high priority Electro-magnetic ("EM") targets in a province hosting one of the richest nickel-copper-cobalt deposits in the world, the Voisey's Bay Deposit.
